Sitting comfortably, begin with slow deep breaths that begin and end in your stomach. Say the following words to yourself in your heart.
Breathing in, I know I am loved
Breathing out, I am grateful
Breathing in, I also love
Breathing out, for this too I am grateful
Hold the image of your loved ones, in your heart
Feel their love
It envelopes you
With a warmth that fills you with
Delight and laughter
Your gratitude and their love
Together all feels a beautiful shade of deep colour
What colour is their love for you?
What beautiful deep shade of colour is it?
The love you feel for them in turn is so
Amazing and immense
That it expands to fill
What seems like the whole universe
As your love for them expands to fill the universe so too
Your heart expands and the love pours forth from you
Colouring the whole world with radiant brilliance
And deep amazement
Your love is a miraculous gift
From the universe
And so too that you are loved is
A miraculous gift
From the universal fabric woven
With love and delight
Laughter and magic
Your love will grow and deepen
As does the colour and beauty and warmth
Until the many shades and subtleties that make up
Swirl into a beautiful heaven-ness
Of beauty and love eternal
Knowing that to be so loved
As you are
Is a grace from the universe
A stroke of miraculous synchronicity
For all of you
Makes it even more beautiful in its strength and divine might
With love you hold one another up and soften the fall
During times of trouble
With love you celebrate and nourish, nurture and soothe
The swirling depths of colour of your love that is all around you
Are so brilliant in their immense beauty
That you are left in awe
That you are so loved
And that you yourself are capable
Of such deep and utter
It is a gift,
From the universe
Sit with your thoughts and feelings for a time, and when you are ready, write in your journal on the following ideas or write whatever is in your heart.
1. Sometimes we take love for granted especially if it is not a new love. Who did you envision during this meditation as your loved one or ones? Write down how your life would be different if you did not have them in it and if you did not know their love or your love for them.
2. What colour or colours did you envision as the colour of love during this meditation? Describe it or paint or colour it with paints, pastels, markers or pencil crayons or other.
3. How do you feel knowing that you are so loved and enveloped by the warmth of their love for you? And how do you feel knowing the amazing quality of loving others? Sit with this feeling for a moment and describe the feeling either in words or through abstract art using the colour(s) you had described above.
